The STC replaces existing lead acid batteries with EarthX Lithium batteries removing up to 23 pounds over the existing battery.
Higher resting voltage provides longer and more stable cranking power at engine starts with double or more longer life space. According to EarthX, these batteries can recharge in minutes and have much lower discharge rates.
A highlight of these batteries is the battery management system enabling it to communicate directly to the pilot if there is anything outside of normal with a flashing or solid LED light to alert the user to investigate further.
The 24V TSO-certified battery is available for $999, and the 12V TSO-certified battery for $699.
The initial kit for installation ranges from $195-$295, depending on the airframe.
